Car Riders - New This Year:

ALL students from our Early Childhood classrooms to 5th grade will use the same car rider line at the same time.

Morning Car Riders:

Do not let students out of the car before 7:30 am, as no supervision will be available before that time.
Students SHOULD NOT be dropped off and expected to walk from the street, please adhere to all safety precautions in place for dropping off students in the morning.
Parents are to follow the lines and pull up to the curb. Students must open their own doors, please be ready when directed to open doors in order to keep the line moving.
Please pull down as far as possible before letting your student out, staff will direct cars.

Arrival Procedures:

Cars will enter the car rider line by travelling North on Kissimmee Avenue and taking a right onto Maple Street E. All traffic laws including stop signs and speed limits must be followed. Interactions cannot be blocked. Tickets will be given by Davenport PD for ignoring road signs.
Cars will enter the first gate behind on the right and stay in the right lane.
Each car will stop at one of the staff members on the sidewalk. Students may not be dropped off on the grass or before the car gets to a staff member.
All adults must stay in the car at all times. Staff will open the car door for the student(s) to exit the car on the right passenger door.
The staff member will close the door and the car must stay in the line until the cars in front start to move. There is no skipping around the line to exit. All cars must follow the car in front of them.
To exit the car rider line cars may turn right onto Maple St W, straight onto N Suwanee St, or may turn left onto Maple St E.

Afternoon Car Riders:

Students will be issued a CAR TAG from the front office and it must be displayed in the car in order to pick up a student. If you do not have a car tag, you will need to park and come to the front office with your ID.
Please help students memorize their car number so our line will move quickly in the afternoons.
Parents are to follow the predetermined line for car riders. DO NOT PARK and walk-up, students will not be allowed to leave from the car area unless getting into a car with a tag.
Please pull down as far as possible, staff will direct cars forward in order to keep the line moving.
NO TRANSPORTATION CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED OVER THE PHONE.

Dismissal Procedures:

Cars will enter the car rider line by travelling North on Kissimmee Avenue and taking a right onto Maple Street E. All traffic laws including stop signs and speed limits must be followed. Interactions cannot be blocked. Tickets will be given by Davenport Police Department for ignoring road signs.
Cars will be checked by a staff member for a car rider tag. Only cars with car rider tags will be allowed to enter the car rider line. A car that does not have a car rider tag will have to drive around to the front office for assistance.
Cars will be directed by a staff member to enter the right or left lane.
Cars will stop at one of the staff members.
A staff member will escort the student(s) to the car. All adults must stay in the car at all times.
When indicated by staff cars will pull through to exit the car rider line. To exit the car rider line cars may turn right onto Maple St W, straight onto N Suwanee St, or may turn left onto Maple St. E.

There will be NO LEFT TURN into the car loop from Maple St E at any time! The only line will be from Kissimmee.

Walkers/Bike Riders:

Walkers are defined as those students that walk/ride from the door of their home to the door of the school. Parents wishing to pick up their student(s) in a car MUST go through our car line and have a school-issued CAR RIDER TAG.
All changes to your student's transportation MUST be made through the agenda, Class DOJO, or email. NO TRANSPORTATION CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED OVER THE PHONE.

Bus Riders:

Riding the bus is a privilege and can be revoked for serious or repeated misconduct. Students eligible for bussing live more than 2 miles from the school, live in an area deemed unsafe to walk or ride a bike, or have special accommodations according to their IEP.

Please refer to the "Rules for Riding the Bus" issued to each student at orientation.
Students are entitled to bus transportation from/to the closest stop located nearest their residence only.
NO TRANSPORTATION CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED OVER THE PHONE

Updated Car Rider Loop PreK TOO!

PREK students MUST use the car rider line ONLY, No Walkers!

Please Read Carefully:

Our car rider line will be moving to the back of the school. We will use S. Kissimmee Ave. and Maple St E. to enter the car loop. Exiting will be in the following directions: RIGHT TURN onto Maple St. W.; STRAIGHT onto N. Suwanee St., or LEFT TURN onto Maple St E.
STOP - Please DO NOT block intersections. Also, look out for 2 way stop, 3 way stop, and 4 way stop intersections along the car rider line. School Staff WILL NOT direct traffic for families that do not follow the car rider line.
DO NOT ENTER - Palmetto St. is closed from 7:30am - 8:00 and from 3:00-3:30. Tickets will be given by Davenport PD for ignoring road signs.
There will be no LEFT TURN into the car loop from Maple St. E at anytime! The only line will be from Kissimmee Ave. onto Maple St E. NO EXCEPTIONS!
